Curvy, donhill road in Inverness

This is a real nice downhill, curvy strip on Blackburn (in the north eastern part of Inverness). You can play bike racer here if you are brave enough... You can really fly here and take pretty sharp turns at the same time. Fortunately, there is very little traffic here and there is a straighter and flatter part of the road after you get down the hill and before the next cross street.

Bottom of the hill on Blackburn

The photo above is near the bottom of this steep hill on Blackburn. Actually I neglected to mention the bad part about this fun downhill stretch. There is an equally steep uphill stretch that you must do to get to the top of the hill. I guess that is pretty much always the case, isn't it? What goes down must have gone up first... :-)

Nice house in Inverness neighborhood

I have photographed a few of the houses on this ride to give you a feel for what this ride and the neighborhood is like. This is a beautiful (and expensive) neighborhood.

Riding on Tweed Road

The photo above is the turn on Tweed Road just after the small pond on the left when you heading mostly east on Tweed. There used to be a couple of outdoor chairs by the pond on tweed where I would sometimes fake a break but I believe that they are gone now.

Riding on Banbury Road

The photo above is on Banbury. There is another nice downhill section on Tweed just before you get to Banbury followed by a sharp turn (I usually go left on to Banbury from Tweed (still going for a wide loop around this subdivision)). There have also been times that I wanted to extend my ride a little and weaved through more of the street in the neighborhood. You can ride quite a few miles in this area.

Swan in Lake off of Banbury

There is the little lake that you see off to the right from Banbury with what looks like a resident swan. I have seen this swan (or one that looks just like him :-) ) many times as I rode down this road.

Here's the photo tour of the Inverness Trail, from South Park, in Inverness (going north) to Blackburn on the northern end of Inverness (May, 2005).
