North Park to Thornhill

This is a view of North Park, from Cumnock. You can also take a little side trip on Thomas Atkinson Road (south of here off of Dewey) to the entrance of North Park for some more miles to explore the area a little. There is no entrance to North Park from Cumnock but I have just walked my bike across the grass before to get to the park for a quick break by the picnic tables.

Here's a nice little winding stretch on Cumnock... (where did they get that name anyway?!?) I always like riding on this little stretch in Inverness although there is a slight incline coming up ahead.

The photo above is also from Cumnock just before the uphill section. The streets are narrow, but there is usually very little traffic here. This part of the trail is a little more fun coming the other direction (going downhill). You can get up some good speed and the curves are a lot of fun.

This little part of the Inverness ride is just before Cumnock merges with Thornhill Road just before you reach Inverway once again. You can also skip this little winding part of the trip and stay on Inverway but I like this section and, of course, the ride is really the destination anyway, right?

This is where Cumnock merges into Thornhill if you keep going straight. Cumnock actually goes off to the left at the intersection and goes out to Baldwin Road.

A modest house (at least it looks that way from the outside) in a nice plush wooded area. I have been updating these captions after the fact and I'm not sure if this little house is even here anymore. I know they demolished one of the houses on this road and built a much bigger house mansion in its place.
