Huge house on a hill in Inverness

OK, this is some huge house on a hill just after you cross Baldwin on Inverway. It is hard to capture this one in a photo, but this house looks pretty awesome from the street. This is on a huge lot and I think it's the hill that really makes it stand out so much.

Scenic roads on Inverness Bike Trip

Now that we are North of Baldwin, we are in the northern most part of the Inverness bike trip. I believe this is probably the most scenic and nicest bike riding roads in Inverness although it is pretty hilly (and I'm not a real big fan of hilly bike rides).

Inverway and Milton

This is one of the fairly flat and almost straight roads in this area. I believe that this is where Inverway has merged with and turned into Milton.

One of the things that I think is interesting and that I noticed a little farther ahead (on Sterling) is that, even though this is a mature neighborhood, once in a while you will see another huge house being built. I don't know if that is because there are still unclaimed parcels of land or if some of the home owners in this area own two lots or split their lots and sell additional lot for new construction.

Intersection of roads in Inverness

This is the intersection at Sterling and Braeburn (at least that's what the street sign says). Actually quite a few roads merge here so the street names can get a little confusing here. Basically you almost want to go left here and always stay to the left as much as possible (to make the widest loop in this hood...)

Sterling Road before uphill section

This is where I continued my ride north on Sterling. You start to go up another hill just around the bend up ahead. It actually does not look all that steep but it continues to go uphill for a while and takes some extra energy.

Nice house and lawn in Inverness

Another nice house and meticulous lawn. Sometimes I think that the people that live here do all this work just for me since I rarely see anyone out enjoying the scenery except the landscapers.

Here's the photo tour of the Inverness Trail, from South Park, in Inverness (going north) to Blackburn on the northern end of Inverness (May, 2005).
