Here's another recumbent dude just before the Busse Lake Boating Center. There were obviously a fair number of bent riders on this trail when I took these photos and I guess I was a little intrigued with them at the time. They are much more common now, especially on popular urban and suburban trails and bike routes. There are some areas though where you still do not see many bents. I am still surprised at how many comments my friend (who has ridden a recumbent for years now) gets when I am out riding with him.
Here are some more nice fall colors with a view of the lake in the distance. If you have browsed some of the other bike trails on this website you know that I now have a much better camera and have worked at becoming a better photographer too. Although, this is a nice photo it just doesn't capture how nice I remember this scene being. Generally, I include the dates of my rides at the bottom of the pages where the photo page links are. The ones that are later in the year 2012 should be a little better photographs (maybe not in all cases though).
The next few photos are real nice views of the lake off in the distance. You see a lot of these kinds of scenes on this part of the trail. OK, this one was also at a good time of day and I think the lighting was pretty nice (even if my camera was not as nice as the one I have now).
Pretty awesome. This is one of the scenes where you need to keep my about-bicycles motto in mind and realize that the "ride is the destination"... and you are there... so enjoy it...
OK here's the next bridge along the path... and another wide angle (stitched) view. This is the bridge between Busse Lake and the South Pool (see the maps on the first page of this bike trail article <here>, for a better perspective).
Actually this view is after I crossed the bridge and was looking back. This one is actually a better view live... ( I didn't quite capture the scene as well with these photos and I have also gotten a little better at doing the stitched, wide angle, panoramic photos).
