The Schwinn A10 Upright Exercise Bike is less expensive than other Schwinn models but offers some of the same Schwinn quality and feartures. The A10 is built well and has many of the basic features that you will need for a light duty and very low cost fitness bike.
The 8 preset programs, quiet magnetic ECB resistance (Eddy current brake) system, heart rate monitor, fan, reading rack and water bottle holder are some of the features that makes the Active Series 10 upright a good buy in this price category.
Exercise bikes, including the Schwinn Active 10 Series provide an excellent low impact, aerobic exercise and are more compact and cheaper than other home fitness equipment.
You can watch TV, listen to music and your hands are free (for reading magazines or books, etc.) and Upright Exercise Bikes are more like your outdoor bike and take up less floor space than recumbent models.
Schwinn Upright Model Comparisons:
The A10 Exercise Bike has less resistance levels and number of programs than the Schwinn 120 and Schwinn 140 and is rated for a max user weight of 275 pounds compared to 300 pounds (for the 120 and 140) but you will usually pay up to $150 more for one of these models.
The Schwinn A10 is fine as a very light duty upright and for low level workouts but ultimately you will be much better off with a higher end model.
