This is a little north of South Lebanon and also shows the Little Miami River off to the right. (behind the trees). The river is much wider here and there is a steep drop off from the trail to the river.
Yes, there are some open and sunny parts of the trail too. The trail is mostly flat, nicely paved and very straight here.
This is the view as you come into the town or Morrow. I rode toMorrow but that is in the past now. OK, I had to use at least 1 toMorrow joke! :-) Once again the trail sign gives you some good information on where you are and what is coming up.
I took a little break in the shade at this pavilion. There is also a parking lot and washroom right here in Morrow. One thing to keep in mind is that since the trail is very wooded and next to the river there can be a lot of mosquitoes in places, so it is good to take breaks in open, paved areas like this.
Here is the railcar that is on display right next to the trail in Morrow.
This is the train station in Morrow that is right next to the trail , which was once rails, of course. I loved this town and this old train station and I think that it is a perfect photo example of what rails-to-trails are all about.
This photo is the sign on the train station. It says Little Miami Railroad so I am guessing that must have been it's name at some point in time.
Here's the photo tour of the Little Miami Scenic Trail with plenty of first hand riding details. This ride was from July 24th and 25th, 2019.
