The Little Miami Scenic Trail (LMST) passing through a tunnel of trees in the distance. This part of the trail is very wooded and shady. These photos are from my ride back to Xenia from Corwin.
THe LMST in an open area as the sun was setting with a very neatly tended cornfield off to the right.
This is a slightly wider view of the trail back in a somewhat wooded area with the Little Miami River on the left.
This is the start of my day 2 ride so I am further south on the trail and it is much earlier in the day. The trail is right next to the river, of course, and there were quite a few canoers out on this day. The people in the canoe are a little blurry in this photo but it does give a good perspective of how you see the river and canoes from the trail.
This is one of the more wooded and shady parts of the trail again and is actually just south of South Lebanon where I turned around to head back north to Corwin. I appreciated the shade on this part of the trail on this hot, sunny July day.
This is one of the fairly tall bridges that you pass under on the trail but not the tallest one which is coming up north of the town of Morrow (photo page 3).
This is the South Lebanon station on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. I took a break at a table in the shade here. I also wanted to point out the sign. These are pretty common at various parts of the trail and give you the distance in miles and additional information for the next town or station on the trail. Note the #1 on top. That is the trail number designation. In this case the trail names are also included below. They also call this the Ohio to Erie Trail.
Here's the photo tour of the Little Miami Scenic Trail with plenty of first hand riding details. This ride was from July 24th and 25th, 2019.
