Intense Color Trails and Nature Photos - 3

This wooden stairway leads down to one of the viewing platforms along the Moraine Hills Bike Trails.

This is the viewing platform, in Moraine Hills, that you get to after you walk down the wooden stairway shown above.

I took this photo in the Botanic Gardens after I rode the North Branch Trail, which connects to the Botanic Gardens at the north end of the trail. The extra color in this photo loses some of the detail found in the original shot but I still liked this effect.

This tranquil bench scene is also from the Botanic Gardens and was taken as the sun was going down.

These backlit leaves were along the Des Plaines River Trail. The original photo that this one was generated from was also very colorful.

This scene was from the 2012 Tour of Elk Grove. The original photo was an excellent shot with a lot of interesting colors. This version does not look as natural as the original, of course, but that was not the intent here and I think this one is fairly artistic in it's own way. BTW: This photo is currently being used at the top of my home page if you want to see the original.
