This is the Millennium Trail in the late fall. The trees were mostly red, orange and brown at this time of year and the color saturation here really brought out the reds and oranges
This is a sunset as seen through the tall grasses along the Harper College bike trail.
This photo was taken near McCullom Lake which you can get to from the McHenry County Prairie Trail. The effect of the reflective ball was interesting but is even more dramatic when you kick up the color a few notches.
This brick wall is actually one of the locks along the Illinois and Michigan (I&M) Trail with a strand of life clinging to it.
This is one of the bridges over one of the busy roads that the southern part of the Des Plaines River Trail crosses.
Here's a TeePee lookin stack of sticks and branches that I ran across while on the DPRT in the peak fall season.

Along the Evanston Bike Trails, that mostly run along or next to the shores of Lake Michigan, you ride by this lighted sign as you enter the town of Wilmette.
You also ride by the spectacular Bahai Temple as you ride the Evanston Bike Trails. This photo of the Bahai temple was not as colorful as many of the others in this collection but it does also look interesting as you saturate the photo with color.
You can see the water in from of the Bahai temple in this photo with the temple in the background. This was late in the afternoon on a sunny day but I liked the way this one looked a little darker and with the more intense colors.
