*I don't recall seeing any big warning or caution signs which is kind of surprising since most of the trails in this area have big caution signs for any minor variations, obstructions or things that you would need to watch out for.
Here's where we started our trip on the Fox River Trail, in
Geneva, after connecting from the Illinois Prairie Path Geneva
Spur.
This is also where I started the 100
mile trip, from Geneva Il to Genoa Wis and back with my
son in June, 2007. We started here in Geneva because I calculated that it would be about 100 miles from here to Wisconsin and back. We took the Fox River Trail north to Algonquin where it connects to the McHenry Prairie Trail that goes all the way to Wisconsin. That was quite a ride and we ran out of daylight at the end of the ride too. But we accomplished our goal!
Here's the Illinois Prairie Path Photo tour on the Elgin Branch (from the Fox River Trail) to the Geneva Spur (just past Prince Crossing Road) back to the Fox River Trail at Geneva - September 2007.
