Treepee! on DPRT. Branches stacked against tree

I guess this is a Treepee! I'm not sure why someone stacked all these branches against the tree this way but it looked interesting to me. Most of the bike trail photos pages on this website are specifically about the bike trails, where they go, the conditions of the trail, etc. I am now also including photos taken from the trails that show some of the things that you see from the trails and, of course, in this case the fall colors.

Path to Beck Lake from DPRT

This is a short ~ and colorful ~ branch off the main Des Plaines River Trail that goes out to Beck Lake. You can get to Beck Lake from this leg of the DPRT or from Central Road (it is just a little north of Central Road just west of the Tri-State tollway).

Bright fall colors as seen from bike trail

This is a colorful view looking straight up at the trees and sky. I liked this view (and this part of the trail) since you get the red leaves in addition to the yellow and green leaves.

Fall color photo effect using zoom

This is the same view after I took the mushrooms!!! OK, just kidding, I was trying for an artsy effect by zooming right after pressing the shutter button. It actually took some experimenting and camera setting adjustments to finally get this effect to come out the way that I wanted it to. Once I got the basics down it was really not all that difficult to get a variety of similar shots.

Distorted fall color effect using zoom

This is after the mushrooms started to wear off. :-) Yea, the same effect with a less zooming.

Low view of the Trail from Beck Lake

This is the view of the Beck Lake branch of the DPRT as seen from the trail (with the camera on the trail once again). I might have gotten a little to much of the leaves on the trail in the foreground but I still mostly liked this photo.
